Nur Konnect, born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Growing up and highly influenced by Hip Hop, Jazz Fusion & Soul. He decided to revive and continue that classic Boom Bap sound combined with Jazz Fusion. Finally, after honing his unique sound over recent years by releasing 5 albums. The songs provide a combination of mellow vocals, with rhythmic undercurrent elements. He had the opportunity to work with talented indie artists and groups from all over the globe. Some names would include: Chillsquad, Universal Passports, Recent Relics, Sound Healers Crew, and Datfeelin Family. He is keen to point out that everything he listens to directs his musical development in a positive way. However, he would certainly include John Coltrane, Pharaoh Sanders, Sun-Ra, Yusuf Lateef, Public Enemy, Tupac Shakur, Jeru The Damaja and Guru as amongst his biggest influences. As a Muslim, he hopes to convey a positive message through his music that could reach the hearts of the masses.
